What Is OEM Ambient Lighting?
OEM ambient lighting refers to a vehicle-specific lighting upgrade designed to look and function as closely as possible to a factory-fitted system. Rather than using a generic visible light strip, the lighting is integrated into compatible trims, doors, dashboard sections and other interior components.
On supported vehicles, the system can also be integrated with the factory infotainment screen so colour and brightness can be adjusted through the car's existing controls.

How OEM Ambient Lighting Works
Each installation depends on the vehicle platform and its original specification. Some vehicles already have basic ambient lighting that can be expanded, while others require replacement trims, additional wiring, control modules or coding.
Our aim is to keep the installation looking integrated with the cabin rather than added on afterwards. Where factory screen integration is supported, the lighting can respond to the vehicle's existing ambient-light settings.

Can OEM Ambient Lighting Be Controlled From The Screen?
On supported vehicles, yes. One of the main advantages of an OEM-style installation is the ability to integrate lighting controls with the vehicle's existing infotainment system.
This is not available on every model or every infotainment version. For example, some earlier vehicles may require app-based control even when using an OEM-style lighting kit. We confirm this before quoting the installation.
